The Scatterplot chart allows you to study data at a point in time or over time in an X-Y chart format. To define the data for your chart, there are all of the standard data points in addition to 60+ calculations and 200+ different types of data that have several different calculation options. In addition to defining X and Y, you can also select a Z-variable if you are not plotting a times series of X and Y.
To create a new Scatterplot: on the New menu, point to Charts, and then choose Scatterplot.
To change the list of available data for X, Y and Z, click Edit Data.
To change each investment's color, size and shape as well as show or hide the crosshairs. Size cannot be changed if you are plotting a time series. Edit multiple investments at the same time by selecting the investments, and then changing the appropriate settings.
A peer groups shows up as a reference in your chart -- in light gray background plots. By default, there is no peer group selected. Your peer group can be based on the investments in a Morningstar Category or one of your saved investment lists. To include a peer group, choose a universe and category or select an investment list.
